At first, the clouds just looked scattered. Then they looked heavy. And then heavier.
Finally, as I drove home from teaching for the day, drops of water splattered my car. Large drops.
At first, the earth smelled dirty, as the rain initially began to clean the town.
Now it smells like freshness, fresh grass, fresh rain. A cleaner town.
It’s still raining. A strong, constant rain. I love the rain. I love, especially, our first Fall rain.
I’m so thankful for the rain.
