Parent teacher conferences are this week, and mine was today.

What can I say? My girl’s got some serious smarts.

Her report card showed 1 A (in composition no less!!!); 3 A-s; 5 B+s; and 1 B (in math). BUT, her school grading system is different: an A is 97-100%, an A- is 94-96%, a B+ is 90-93%, and so on. SO really, Maddie got almost all As.

I am so proud! Plus, both her history/grammar and religion teacher (the two teachers I met with tonight) said wonderful things about Maddie, especially about how organized and kind she is (I’m not surprised about the kind part but the organized? Who is this kid?). She also received one of only 4 perfect scores for deportment (which is scored on how often she gets in trouble, how often she gets a uniform violation, and how often she has to retrieve something from lost and found. Basically, she didn’t have nay marks against her).

Woot! It looks like we’re off to a terrific start this year and I couldn’t be more thankful for Maddie’s hard work and great morals at school.

I know, I’m totally beaming!
